TrekBuddy v0.9.79 - J2ME application for GPS tracking *updated*

Trekbuddy is a J2ME application to be used with a GPS receiver. It is designed to work with every Java-enabled device.

يستخدم هذا البرنامج لتحديد موقعك على الخارطة وبأستطاعتك ارسال مكانك لاعلام صديق عن طريق الSMS
والبرنامج يعمل مع الاجهزة التي تحتوي على ال GPS الداخلي او الخارجي

It features capabilities such as

GPS tracking and simple navigation bitmap maps (without zoom, you can store bitmap maps with different resolution instead) itxarrange maps as atlas for increasing and decreasing resolution trackloging in NMEA or GPX format compas screen (HPS) cockpit screen (CMS)
location sharing via SMS with other trekbuddies

and more.

It supports most commonly used map projections and grids, such as

<Latitude/Longitude Mercator <Transverse Mercator Universal Transverse Mercator Swedish Grid British National Grid <LI Irish Grid Swiss Grid
Lambert France I-IV

as well as custom datums.

As a location source

<bluetooth or serial port GPS (integrated) GPS <LI NMEA file

may be used.

Localization

TrekBuddy will speak your language if you download language.res file from and put it to "resources" TrekBuddy folder. If your language is missing, or you are not satisfied with available translation, and you can work with command line a bit, PM me.

Trail

Visible trail on map screen is a new feature of this version. The trail point selection algorithm is designed to detect points where heading changes significantly. Big thanks to yearling for thickness calculation algorithm.

Setup (line thickness and color) is a bit tricky on some devices. In general, use LEFT-RIGHT key/joystick to change color/thickness. To switch "mode" (ie. what you setting up), use Mode command.
* on SE phones, the config item is the first in Settings->Desktop; and you should use non-gaming key - like key 3 etc - to change the "mode"
* on other devices the item it the last in Settings->Desktop
* on qwerty Blackberries, use ALT+trackball and for "mode"change use ALT+numbers (eg. 3).
* on touchscreen, touch in the middle of the item to change the "mode"
