MXit v5.5.0 J2ME - Mobile Instant Messenger

يمكنك هذا البرنامج من ارسال واستقبال رسائل نصية بين الجوال والكمبيوتر يصل عدد الاحرف بالرسالة الواحدة الى 1000 حرف بالاضافة الى كونه برنامج محادثة ويمكنك البرنامج ايضا من مشاركت الالعاب التي تلعب اون لاين
وكل ذلك من خلال الGPRS او 3G

WHAT IS MXit?

Join our virtual community and embrace a world of fantasy and fun.

MXit is an instant messaging program for your mobile phone. This means that you can chat to MXit users on their mobiles and PCs, anywhere in the world.

In other words, it enables you to send and receive text messages to and from mobile phones and PCs via the internet using GPRS or 3G, rather than by using standard SMS technology. So each time you chat you are allowed up to 1000 characters at a fraction of the cost of an SMS! MXit enables you to exchange messages with other users or most other online chat communities – anywhere, anytime!

Communication has never been easier.

The first step is to check if MXit can be downloaded on your mobile and if your phone is GPRS enabled.

WHAT ELSE CAN I DO WITH MXit?

In addition to basic chat services, MXit offers loads of other ways to express yourself on your mobile phone. Meet people, play games, customise your phone. The fun starts at Tradepost – a contact that was automatically added to your contact list when you registered with MXit. Send a blank message to Tradepost to see what’s on offer.

MXit version 5.5 features

The following features have been added:
1. Inline edit control:

This allows split screen messaging i.e. writing a message while still being able to see the current conversation screen.
It is disabled by default and can be enabled by setting

Menu -> Settings -> Appearance -> Inline edit
Some limitations:

Predictive text is not supported.
Qwerty keypads are not supported.
There are a number of differences between the different manufacturers with regards to how text editing work. We have chosen a scheme that would be familiar to all Nokia, Sagem and LG users, namely:

‘*’ - brings up the symbol menu
‘#’ - switches between input modes
‘0’ - is used to type spaces, except when in digit input mode
To make things a bit friendlier for other manufacturers this scheme is adjusted a bit:

Motorola:

‘*’ - press and hold – brings up the symbol menu
‘#’ – switches between input modes
‘*’ – is used to type spaces

Samsung, SonyEricsson:

‘#’ – press and hold – brings up the symbol menu
‘*’ – switches between input modes
‘#’ – is used to type spaces
2. Skins are now applied without having to restart:
This is a memory intensive process, so if your handset is on the edge it might not work.
3. Use popup menu for alerts and info messages and invites:

This feature is only used for versions that uses full screen mode e.g. NOT for Motorolas.
Error messages and invites are now displayed using popup menus to focus attention on them.
Popup menu speed has also been tweaked a bit.
Known issues:

While the inline edit control is active incoming messages do not scroll automatically.
Signed version cannot be download for Nokia 6230i, 8800.
Phone support for V5.5
Due to the large number of features that have been added for this release, support has been dropped for a number of older and low end mobile phones.

Therefore V5.5 will only be supported on the following handsets:
