Smaato News: RSS reader for your smartphone

The internet is full of information. Nowhere else you can find so much up-to-date knowledge. And the best: most of this is free. Wouldn’t it be great, if you could access all these resources from everywhere, every time, via your smartphone?
Now you can! Smaato news gives you access to thousands of free RSS channels. RSS is a format offered by nearly all bigger websites, which delivers the websites important contents without graphical overhead.
Other than mobile web browsers, it delivers only the text and important pictures and not megabytes of formatting images etc. which are useless and out of place on your mobile device.
Smaato News embeds these pieces of information into a great intuitive interface and gives you access to them - from everywhere.

Main Screen

The main screen provides a list of
your subscribed feeds along with the number of articles you've already
opened versus the total available
articles. Add feeds

Subscribe to a feed either by selecting from a predefined list of feeds, importing an OPML file from your desktop's RSS reader, or entering the feed's URL in the space provided. Headlines

After syncing, tap on one of your
feeds on the main screen and a list
of articles will appear. Just tap on
one of the headlines and read on. Articles

Click one of the headlines to read the article. Pictues are shown within the article if they’re provided by the feed’s publisher. Click "Read more" at the bottom of the article to visit the publishers website. Syncing

When you perform an OTA sync,
you can choose between updating
all feeds or just specific ones. On
Palm OS you can additionally use the Smaato News Conduit for syncing. Alerts

Always stay informed with alerts containing tips and update news from Smaato.
