CECalculatr v1.13 S60 SymbianOS




CECalculatr is a Combined Events Calculator for Nokia Series 60 terminals. One can calculate points from results or results from points. Both men and women as well as outdoor and indoor combined events are present. Results and points can be saved for later usage.

CECalculatr application installation:


Step 1:
Download and install Python for S60 (if you have already installed CECalculatr or you know you have Python S60, go directly to Step 2):
- Click on your phone image in here to start the download automatically. If your phone image is not a link, then see to which group does it belong to (e.g. Python for S60 3rd Edition) then go to SourceForge Python for S60 download pages and choose the package corresponding to your terminal version. E.g. pythonfors60_1_3_14_3rded_selfsigned.SIS (choose selfsigned for 3rd edition) for 3rd edition or PythonForS60_1_3_14_2ndEdFP2.SIS for 2nd edition FP2.
- After downloading the sis file to your PC, connect your phone to your PC and install the sis file to your phone.
- For 3rd edition phones: If the application does not install, go to Tools menu -> App. mgr. -> Options -> Settings and check that you have Software installation set to All.

Step 2:
2nd edition: Download CECalculatr to your PC and install it to your phone:

If you want to have CECalculatr image on 3rd edition phone, download CECalculatr.png here and save to your phone’s memory card in ?:\CEC\ folder (you may have to create the folder first)

User guide:

On 2nd edition phones CECalculatr logo should be found on the main menu and on 3rd edition phones inside My own or such sub folder.



On the main view press Options and you will get a list of alternatives:



Latest results, Latest points and Save latest to file will only be available after combined events results or points series is inputted or a series is loaded from file. Men and Women open sub menus with outdoor and indoor combined events alternatives. Men/Women single results and Men/Women single points open an event list where single events can be chosen. About has short info about CECalculatr.

Choosing any results alternative under Men or Women will let you enter full combined events series of results. Choosing points will let you enter series of points correspondingly. CECalculatr will calculate points/results from the given results/points.


Runs, including 800 m and 1500 m, are inputted in seconds, throws in meters and jumps in centimeters. If you leave fields blank, those are regarded as no results. After you have inputted all the results/points you have to save the form either by pressing first Options and there choosing Save or by pressing Back and choosing Yes for saving the form question. If you saved via Options, pressing Back will lead you to calculated points/results. There you cannot edit the fields.




Now that you have entered results/points, you may see Latest results and Latest points labels when pressing Options. You may change the latest inputted results/points by choosing those. You may save latest results (including points) for later use by choosing Save latest to file. In the current release (version 1.13), you have to remember the name you give to the file as it is asked when you choose to Load from file. After loading a file, you can see and modify those results/points by choosing Latest results/Latest points. Note that in the current release (version 1.13) Latest points will modify the event results to correspond to the worst event results giving the points in question.
You can keep CECalculatr in the background on the phone by pressing red button in 2nd edition phones and menu button in 3rd edition phones. Pressing menu button long time will give you list of open applications in your phone, so you can get back to CECalculatr that way (in 2nd edition phones there can be a bug that CECalculatr is not shown in that list, but it is still running and you can re-enter it by choosing the CEC logo from phone menu).


Technical details:

CECalculatr is done with Python for S60 and that is why Python is required on the phone in addition to the CECalculatr application.
